Bodyweight Leg Blast for the Ladies
Women are always looking for a good leg workout to tighten, tone, and lift (not fond of these words, but almost all my female clients use it to describe what they’re looking for). Anyway, I’ve been incorporating more bodyweight leg exercises to show them that in many cases all you’ll need is your own bodyweight to get a great leg workout.
This was the workout today to blast their legs:
Perform 4 sets of this whole circuit, resting only 30-45 seconds between sets.
1) 5 Jump Squats (10 bodyweight squats if you’re a beginner or have never done jump squats before)
2) 15 Bulgarian Split-Squats – perform your reps at the bottom half of the range of motion
3) 25 Wide Stance Bodyweight Squats – perform your reps at the bottom half of the range of motion
*For exercises 2 and 3 try performing your reps at the bottom half of the range of motion to place more tension on the quads
